Leading the Strategic Initiatives team in the Office of Advancement, I continually work on developing new frameworks for our work—determining the most efficient, effective ways to scale new strategies and approaches in developing fundraising collateral. As the university looks to its next transformative campaign, the initiatives that require pan-university vision and coordination are also the likeliest to inspire 8- or 9-figure philanthropy. Developing new frameworks and capacities for the development and market deployment of these initiatives has been a key part of my role.
Determining the right campaign and capital fundraising strategies requires a lengthy process of multi-stakeholder consensus building. I led coordination between several departments in the Office of Advancement, developing a streamlined approach for gathering consensus from all leadership parties and ensuring that each individual felt their voice was heard in the process.
